Italian Film Festival USA: Una storia senza nome (The Stolen Caravaggio)

Valeria (Micaela Ramazzotti), the young secretary of a film producer, lives a secluded life in the same apartment building as her eccentric mother. She writes anonymous scripts for a successful screenwriter, Alessandro (Alessandro Gassman).

One day she is approached by a mysterious man who gives her an unusual gift: the plot for a new script. But that plot turns out to be a dangerous one about the mysterious 1969 theft of The Nativity, a famous painting by Caravaggio, carried out in Palermo by the Mafia.
