Public Design Team Presentations: DIA Plaza & Midtown Cultural Connections Project

Join the DIA for a series of public presentations and interviews from eight design teams engaged in a competition to develop the public space around the DIA & to connect the many institutions that call the Cultural Center home. Out of 44 design team applications, the project jury has selected 8 teams to come to Detroit June 13 & 14 to present their qualifications and visions to the jury and the public in person. Feel free to drop in and out of Danto Lecture Hall on the DIA's 1st floor throughout either day.

Each team will be giving a 45-minute long presentation, followed by a 30 minute Q & A session with questions from the jury & members of the audience. This is an excellent opportunity to learn about the direction of the DIA and Midtown, and to make your voice heard at the beginning stages of this process! Based on these in-person presentations and public feedback, the jury will select three teams to create conceptual plans for the DIA & Cultural Center, to be presented to the public January 23, 2019.
