Puppet Performance: Geppetto - Extraordinary Extremities

After the loss of his wife and partner, Geppetto, a puppet-maker and puppeteer, attempts to remount some of their most famous productions. Concrete Temple Theatre explores themes of loss and redemption as Geppetto comically improvises to overcome the challenges of performing solo while at the same time scrambles to devise new story lines, new characters, and even new limbs. Lewis Flinn’s beautiful score, played live on a single cello, addsd layers of depth to this simple production and highlights the mythic proportions of Geppetto’s journey into new selfhood.
