Putting it Together: Organizing the Exhibition, Church: An Artists's Pilgrimage
Where do museum exhibitions come from? Who puts them together? The idea for the DIA's new exhibition began with curator of American art Kenneth Myers who wanted to know more about the paintings that came out of Frederic Church's 1867-1869 trip to the Middle East, Italy, and Greece. But organization of the exhibition depended on the work of many people including educators, registrars, grant writers, editors, designers, exhibition staff, and marketing specialists. Ken will give a behind-the-scene peek at the work behind Church: An Artist's Pilgrimage.
