The Science of Grief
Science Gallery Detroit, the DIA, and award-winning poet and activist Natasha T. Miller will be holding a 14-hour community performance of grief. Since losing her brother five years ago, Natasha has been dedicated to providing public spaces for people to speak about their grief, and this event is a continuation of that work.
Miller will be opening a space in the Detroit Institute of Arts for 14 hours and providing people with the opportunity to speak about the grief they’ve experienced. These conversations are held on a stage, in front of a rotating, silent audience. The event will be live streamed as a community performance piece of grief, and to include grieving communities worldwide.
