Thursdays at the Museum: Adinkra Cloth

Adinkra cloth is a hand-printed fabric made in Ghana in West Africa. Learn more about this art form and the symbols used, and then create a small banner using cloth and handmade adinkra stamps. 


Every Thursday at 1 p.m. the Detroit Institute of Arts offers programs for adults 55+. For more information on Thursdays at the Museum, call 313.833.4005.
