Thursdays at the Museum: Art-Making - Collage Portraits

Every Thursday at 1 p.m. the Detroit Institute of Arts offers programs for adults 55+.

The word collage derives from the French coller, to glue. It was coined in the early 20th century to describe artwork made from an assemblage of different materials. Use this distinctive process to create a portrait out of a mix of papers, cloth and other simple objects.

Support for Thursdays at the Museum is provided by your tri-county millage investment.
