Drop-In Workshop: 27th Annual Komen Detroit Race for the Cure

Join us to create Rhythmic Ribbon Batons at the 27th Annual Komen Detroit Race for the Cure held in front of Comerica Park. The ribbon baton is used in floor exercises for gymnastics and dance. Make a simple version using paper, ribbon and decorative tapes.

Behind the Seen: Ordinary People by Extraordinary Artists- Degas, Renoir and Friends

Some of the most important French artists of the 19th century resisted the elitist aesthetic of the academic art tradition by emphasizing the people around them and the human experience as subject matter during a transitioning moment in the modernist era. These are all works on paper by Degas, Renoir, Toulouse-Lautrec, Vuillard, Bonnard and Cezanne.
