Markings

Inscribed, on the back of each of the military trophies, probably incised into the models from which the mounts were cast: 7 [behind the tassels on both front trophies] 2 [behind the left banner on the rear trophies] Inscribed, on a fragment of a round label: 551/.... Inscribed, on the side of the upper left drawer, on a blue-bordered label: Fr. U8oxxx [a dealer's price in code]

Affixed to the bottom of the upper right drawer is a label inscribed in ink: 28665 [Duveen Brothers inventory number] Label, on the underside of the top at center: [circular French customs label.]
