Get in the mood to move your body, learn about the histories and traditions behind the dance styles, and experience the vibrant cultural expressions that make this festival a celebration of movement and community. The Detroit Multicultural Dance Festival celebrates metro-Detroit's professional, pre-professional, youth and adult dancers in urban, traditional, classical and contemporary dance styles. Dance styles include: Afro House, Bollywood, Belly Dance, Jit, Swing, Contemporary Dance, African Dance, Mexican Folklore, Argentine Folklore, Indian Dance, Hustle, Tango, Salsa, Bachata, Ballroom, Battle Cyphers and Freestyle.
